Privacy policy

This is a plain description of the data PIDSnap holds, what it does with it, and how to reach us about it. SSDevProject is the controller of that data.

What is collected

• Your email address and the name of your organisation.
• The plant and loop records you enter: tag names, loop types, the tuning values you type in and confirm.
• Photographs you upload — trend screens, faceplates and nameplates.
• Session records: what was read, what was instructed, and when.
• Payment records: what was bought, and when a refund was issued.

Lawful basis

• Contract — the account, the plant and loop records, the photographs and the session records exist to provide the service you asked for.
• Legitimate interest — minimal security and error logging, to keep the service up and to know when it is misbehaving.
• Consent — anything optional is only collected if you choose to give it.

Who processes your data

The processors are the ones actually wired into the code, named individually:

• Google (Gemini API, paid tier) — image analysis. Paid-tier API data is not used to train Google's models.
• Cloudinary — stores the photographs and generated report files.
• Resend — sends email.
• PayPal — processes payment.
• Hetzner Online GmbH — hosts the application and its database.

Hetzner operates data centres in several countries. If you need to know the region your data is stored in before using PIDSnap, ask us at [email protected] and we will tell you.

Retention

Uploaded images are kept while your account is open. There is no automatic deletion schedule yet. To have your images and records removed, email [email protected] and we will delete them.

Your rights

You can ask for access to the data we hold about you, for it to be corrected, for it to be erased, for a copy in a portable form, or object to a particular use. Deleting a loop removes its records and its photographs from storage; a plant goes once its loops are gone. For anything not tied to a loop, write to support.

Cookies

Two cookies, both strictly necessary, so neither needs a consent banner:

• pidsnap_session — keeps you signed in, for up to thirty days.
• pidsnap_prefill — carries the half-finished state of a free check while you are still anonymous, for up to six hours.

There is no advertising, no analytics and no tracking on this site.
